Proov-it: your site photos become evidence
A photo does not prove its date. Proov-it does.
We record what we see on the day of our visit. What happened before, and what changes between two visits, is something you can establish. Provided your photos carry weight.
- Timestamp
- Geolocation
- Verifiable integrity
- PDF certificate

Proov-it in one minute
How a photo, video or recording made from the app becomes dated, located and verifiable digital evidence.
Video hosted by YouTube: by playing it, you accept that YouTube (Google) places cookies on your device (privacy policy).
It often comes down to a single question: when?
We can record what we see on the day of our visit. We cannot record what happened before we came, nor what changes between two visits. You can, provided you document it properly.
A simple photo sheds light on the case, but is not always enough
Its date and location can be altered. With an insurer or during a joint inspection with all parties (expertise contradictoire), the authenticity of the file then becomes a point of debate.
“It was already like that before” is the argument we hear most often.
Proov-it turns the shot into digital evidence
Photos, videos and audio recordings are made from the app, then linked to a timestamp, a geolocation and a digital fingerprint.
For you, the action stays simple. What changes is the value of the file six months later.
Proov-it builds the record. DEKTA analyses it.
You document
Overall view, detail, scale and context, directly from the app.
Proov-it seals
Date, place, digital fingerprint and certificate make any alteration detectable.
DEKTA assesses
We use the timeline, analyse the defect and determine the technical issues at stake.
Your case gets stronger
The discussion can focus on the substance rather than on the authenticity of the documents.
The right time is before you need it
Before a purchase
Keep a record of the property’s actual condition on the day of the viewing, before the preliminary sale agreement (compromis).
Before neighbouring works
Establish a reference condition before excavation, demolition or raising of a building.
At the first sign
Date the two-millimetre crack before it becomes a major defect.
After an incident
Document before cleaning or emergency protective works, which will erase the scene.
Between two visits
Show how a crack, a leak or a damp patch has actually evolved.
In a joint inspection
Present documents that predate the dispute and are technically verifiable.
Eight simple steps to produce truly useful evidence
- Take photos from the app, never from your gallery.
- Start wide, finish close, to locate and then show the detail.
- Add a scale: tape measure, crack gauge or a coin.
- Keep the same viewpoint so that changes are easy to read.
- Date it as early as possible. The first shot is often the most important.
- Repeat at each episode and at regular intervals.
- Delete nothing, even what seems insignificant to you.
- Send us the file before the visit, so that we already know the history.

Not a marketing promise. A usable technical file.
Proov-it replaces neither a commissaire de justice (court officer) nor DEKTA’s expert assessment. The app documents and secures. Our experts analyse, interpret and put the evidence into perspective.
Date and place established technically
Information linked to the file from the moment it is created.
Later alteration detectable
The digital fingerprint changes if the content is altered.
Independent verification
The certificate and the QR code make it possible to check the evidence.
What Proov-it does, and what it does not claim to do
Is a Proov-it photo admissible in court?
In French civil matters, evidence may be produced by any means and the judge assesses its weight. Proov-it does not make evidence automatically irrefutable. The app provides technical information on the date, place and integrity of the file, which makes it harder to challenge than an ordinary photograph.
What is the difference with a photo taken with my phone?
The metadata of an ordinary photo can be altered. With Proov-it, the evidence data is linked to the shot and the file receives a fingerprint that makes any later alteration detectable.
Does it replace a commissaire de justice (court officer)?
No. An official report remains relevant when the situation requires it. Proov-it is above all a way to document all the situations that will never be the subject of an official report, for lack of time or budget.
Does it replace DEKTA’s expert assessment?
No. The tool documents, but analyses neither the cause of the defect, nor its seriousness, nor who is liable. It provides reliable material that our experts can use.
Install Proov-it before the problem appears
Make your first reference record and keep it. The day you call us, you will already have a usable history.
